Careers Students Play "The Stock Market Game"

Mrs. Hudson's four Careers classes are participating in "The Stock Market Game." Teams have been given $100,000 virtual money to invest. Students are learning about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, planning, recording, calculating risk, and reward. They post updates every Monday, although students can check their portfolio online at any time.

There are 98 teams around the state for the competitive event. Tim Tabelman and Kyle Erxleben have skyrocketed from 68th place to 23rd.

Students pictured are Kaleb Morales, Dalton Reed, and Cole Wallace.  They are currently in first place for Bloomfield, and 4th overall in the state.  The game runs through April, so students will have time to watch the movement of the market in relation to the economy, world and national events, and the political climate.
